Judy Elizabeth Havisto, 77 of Aitkin died Friday, August 25, 2023 at Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin. She was born May 21, 1946 in Milo and Betty Jane (Gauthier) Perlish. Judy was united in marriage to Robert Havisto on May 29, 1982 in Aitkin. In her younger years she enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and family vacations. She worked as a waitress for the Birchwood Café for 22 years and as a supervisor for the Grill at the Grand Casino for 16 years. The most important thing to Judy was her family. She had kindness and compassion for all living things, which lead to her rescuing several animals over the years. She left a lasting impression on most that knew her and was loved by many. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and her daughter Sandra Carlson. Judy is survived by her husband Robert; 3 daughters and son-in-law: Lynn Carlson, Tammy Fickett and Connie (John) Hutchins; 11 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; And many other special friends and relatives who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be 1pm – Friday, September 8, 2023 at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery at a later date. Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
