Judy Dorthea (Boyd) Walker

Judy D. Walker, 77 of Aitkin, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Essentia Saint Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.  She was born March 25, 1946 in Saint Paul to Edwin and Ihleen (Preston) Boyd.  She graduated from Saint Paul Central High School in 1964.  She lived in Ham Lake and worked in the Twin Cities area.  After retirement she was able to move to her property near Aitkin.  Judy enjoyed gardening, crafting, sewing, and listening to the music of Elvis and Conway Twitty. 

She was preceded in death by her daughter Shannon Zach and her parents Edwin and Ihleen Boyd.

Judy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Michael (Jenni) Walker of Aitkin;

2 Grandchildren: Michael Walker and Tiffany Walker;

2 Brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne (Jean) Boyd of Afton

and Chuck (Shelly) Boyd of North Saint Paul;

1 Sister and brother-in-law: Vicki (Roger) Gale of Aitkin;

Many other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Memorial service will be 11am – Saturday, July 15, 2023  at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin with Pastor Doug Gale officiating.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
