June (kendall) Nelson

June Nelson, 90, of Aitkin passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Aicota health Care Center in Aitkin.  She was born January 7, 1934 in Le Sueur, MN.  the daughter of C. Arthur and Tilda (Janto) Kendall.  June was united in marriage to Willie Nelson on January 22, 1955 in Saint Paul.  She had many jobs including working for a hospital and for Old Dutch Potato Chip Co.  She was preceded in death by her parents and husband in 2018. 

June is survived by her daughter Susan Hawkins;

Grandchildren: Jessica Hawkins, Amanda (Jake) Strecker and Malissa Hawkins;

Great-Grandchildren: Faith (Jake ) Moulton, Tyler (Kahory) Thompson, Anthony Baylor, Alexis Bonney, William Bonney, Tucker Strecker and Paige Strecker;

Great-Great-Grandchildren: James & Philip Moulton;

And many other special friends and relatives who mourn her passing.

There are no public services planned at this time.
