Justin Paul “Hooch” Turner, 31, of Aitkin, passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin. Justin was born in Brainerd on August 1, 1989 to Randy and Shelly (Kienitz) Turner. He graduated from Aitkin High School in 2008. He attended St. Cloud Technical College, where he earned his plumbing degree. Justin was employed by Warning Lites of Minnesota. His hobbies included four wheeling, mudding, hunting, fishing, golfing, bonfires, hanging with family and friends, making people happy and laughing, breaking stuff, teasing, stealing his brother Anthony’s stuff, being the life of the party, and driving backroads. He had a zest for life like no other. He always had a smile on his face and a joke or funny comment for everyone he met. He was loved beyond measure and this earth will never be the same without him.
Justin was preceded in death by his grandmothers D. Olson and Margorie Lee, grandfathers Richard “Dick” Turner, Sr. and Ray Kienitz, aunt Donna Turner, and great grandparents John and Elizabeth Kienitz.
He is survived by his parents, Randy and Shelly Turner, sister Julie and brother-in-law Doug Liebl, brother Anthony “Cheese” Turner, and sister-in-law Tana.
A celebration of life will be Thursday, August 6 at the 40 Club Convention Center in Aitkin. Visitation 12:00 to 2:00, service at 2:00 followed by lunch and fellowship. Arrangements are with Sorenson Root Thompson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Aitkin. Friends and family are invited to share in Justin’s final truck ride. Please meet at the funeral home parking lot at 11:30 and follow as the family escorts Justin to the 40 Club Convention Center.
