Larry LeRoy Nutting

Larry LeRoy Nutting, 85, died Monday, March 31, 2025, in Minnetonka, MN.  Larry was born October 15, 1939, in Des Moines, IA.  Larry was united in marriage to Mary Ellen Hain on June 14, 1959.

 They were blessed with four children:  Robin (Mike) Edgar, Scott (Kim) Nutting, Brett (Mary Beth) Nutting, Stuart (Megan) Nutting.  They have 11 grandchildren: Jaime (Curt), Erica (Pete), Nicole (Dustin), Andrea (Joe), Spencer (Cortney), Abigail (Jasper), Isabel (Parker), Grace (James), Elliot, Henry, George and 7 great-grandchildren: Olivia, Preston, Nora, Graham, Austin, Alek, Brevick and Bennett.  He was Preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Martha Nutting.

For those that had the privilege to meet and get to know Larry we know they experienced a kindness that made them feel like they were the most important person in the room at that moment.  Not only by his words and actions, but through those kind eyes that God blessed him with.  His genuine love for people and mankind was a gift he was given and enjoyed by those that got to be a part of his life.  Please know that the family is thankful for the life he was blessed with and that passing him off to sit with Jesus brings us great comfort as we face the days ahead.  Larry would want us to thank all of you for allowing him to be a part of your lives and he cherished the times he got to spend with each of you.

Funeral service will be 12pm – Saturday, April 5, 2025 at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Glory Cemetery.  Condolences can be sent to Mary Nutting at 5300 Woodhill Road, Apt 105, Minnetonka, MN  55345.
