Lawrence Boyd, Jr. “Skip” or “Piggy”, 49, died Sunday, August 30, 2020 at his home in Aitkin after battling a long term illness. He was born July 12, 1971 in Minneapolis to Lawrence and Sharon Rose (Sargent) Boyd, Sr. He attended school in McGregor. He worked many jobs but most recently he was employed by the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Housing Department. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, watching TV, collecting Hot Wheels, and reading.
He loved spending time with his beloved wife Paula and extended family and friends. He enjoyed being out in nature and loved all animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lawrence and Sharon Boyd, Sr. and his brother Bradley Sargent.
Lawrence is survived by wife Paula;
Sons: Chris, Jeffery, Greg, and Jeremy;
Daughters: Sasha, Katy, and Danielle;
Grandchildren: Daian, Alaycia, Carter, Addyson, Emma, Ava, Jaxson, Gavin, Joycelyn, Aubree, Greyson, Morgan, Sullivan, Reddington, and Hazel;
Sisters: Pam, Lisa (Rollo) and Vicky (Chad);
Brothersw: Stan and Jessie;
Many other special relatives and friends.
Tribal Rites will be 10:00A.M. – Friday, September 4, 2020 at the East Lake Community Center in East Lake-McGregor. Burial will be in the Big Sandy Lake Burial Grounds, McGregor.
