Lenore “Ge’we Ashiikwe” Potter, 54, of Wahkon, passed away Wednesday, December 10, 2025 at Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center, Duluth. She was born November 1, 1971 in Onamia to Leonard and Eva (Sam) Potter. Lenore enjoyed bingo, crosswords, watching wrestling ( her favorite was Bret Hart). Lenore was also a huge Prince fan and loved the color purple. She loved working despite her disabilities. Lenore especially loved spending time with her family.
Lenore is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Leonard, Jr.; aunt, Josephine Wheeler and her dog, Prince.
Lenore is survived by her children, Tyson (Alicia) Sam, Eva (James) Sam, Jonathan (Nicole) Sam and Ronald (Ashley) Hardheart; grandchildren, Naquada, Faith, Raven, Tila, Wehlin and Animoosh; siblings, Evan (Colleen) Potter and William Potter; aunt, Gladys Sam; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Tribal Rites will be held Sunday, December 14, 2025 at 10 AM in Baadwewidang Center, Onamia. Visitation will begin Saturday at Dusk. Interment will be in Vineland Burial Grounds, Onamia.
