Linda Ann Ritter

Linda Ann Ritter, 82, of Aitkin, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, August 17 2023 at Aitkin Health Services. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Henry (Pop) Wilder, her infant daughter, Krista, mother and father-in-law, Roxanne and Ambrose Ritter, her godson, Jed Fyle, and beloved grandson, Adam Ritter.

She was Born November 24, 1940, in Raleigh, North Carolina, the only child of Gladys and LeRoy O’Daniel. Though she remained a “southern gal,” she made Aitkin her home with her devoted husband of 66 years, Ron.

Her outgoing personality and sense of fun earned her many friends. She was a member of the Jaycees, the Legion Women’s Auxiliary, and St. James Catholic Church where she served on the council and many committees. Lin worked as a tireless partner in the family business, Ritter and Ritter Sewer Service, answering the phone, routing trucks and doing the books. In 1976, Lin became an LPN and worked many years at Aitkin Hospital.

Lin loved to travel and she and Ron took many road trips throughout the United States. She especially loved spending time in Destin, Florida and traveling to Wyoming to visit family. Her time at home was busy with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved Christmas and decorating her home for friends and family.

Lin was an endless source of encouragement, loyalty, and strength for all she loved. She is survived by her husband, Ron, her children, Kelly Ritter-Spohn (Bill), Kevin (Karen), Kemp (Joy Larson), Keith (Connie Potter), Kamron (Lynn), 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Services will be 11:00am - Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Saint James Catholic Church in Aitkin.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
