LolaAnn Weimer, 87, of Hill City, passed away Friday, November 21, 2025 at her home. She was born May 4, 1938 in Crosby to Duane and Lila (Clayton) Hughes. LolaAnn grew up and lived her entire life in the Hill City Area. LolaAnn was united in marriage to Martin Weimer on May 12, 1956 in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Aitkin. She worked as a flagger in construction and a very big part of her life was being a Bus Driver for Hill City School for nearly 40 years. LolaAnn was a hard-working farmer her entire life. She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Aitkin and was also a member of the Up North Club.
LolaAnn is preceded in death by her husband, Martin; her parents; son, Reed; and daughter-in-law, Lori Weimer.
LolaAnn is survived by her children, Dean (Helen) Weimer of Hill City, Gary Weimer (Barbara Miller) of Hill City, Russ (Suzie) Weimer of Isanti and RitaAnn (Allan) Stawarski of Swatara; grandchildren, Candy (Chris), Brian (Monica), Matt (Melissa), Shawn, Shannon (Hollie), Angela (Jason), Mallory (Ty), Brandon, Brad (Shari), Micah (Shannon) and Ashley (Reed); 28 great grandchildren; sisters, Muriel “Dee” (Ed) Rassier of Hill City, Laurel “Fritzie” (Dennis) Lamke of Palisade and Lynn (Del) Nyhous of International Falls; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be Wednesday, November 26, at 11 AM in St. John’s Lutheran Church, Aitkin with Pastor Ben Hollingsead officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
