Margie M. (Boyd) Ladehoff

Margie M. Ladehoff, 92 Aitkin, MN, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 2, 2020, at Aitkin Health Services. She was born August 3, 1927 in Washington, IA to Maudi (Gould) and James Boyd where she grew up with brother Jim and sister Janice. After she graduated from Washington High School, she worked at the Calendar Factory then at McClellan’s Five and Dime Store, where she met Wayne S. Ladehoff. Wayne and Margie married, February 27, 1949 in Wapello, IA. They moved from Iowa to Kimberly, MN where they farmed until moving into Aitkin. Later after raising her family she worked at Aicota Nursing Home. She loved the Lord and His presence in her life. She loved her family and friends as well as gardening, raising flowers, crocheting and walking.

Margie is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne (December 1995); infant son, Steven; brother, James Boyd Jr.; son-in-law, Mike Host; granddaughter, Michelle Host; brothers-in-law, Gene Mitchell and Glen “Babe” Ladehoff.

Margie is survived by son, Gary Ladehoff (Ginny Lee) of Aitkin, MN; daughter, Cindy (Jeff) Ledin of Merrifield, MN; grandchildren, Shannon (Michelle) Ladehoff of Cameron, WI, Joshua (Bridgett) Ladehoff of Aitkin, MN, Jason (Rhonda) Conner of Aitkin, MN, Warren Annear of Aitkin, MN, Aaron Conner of Anoka, MN; 7 great grandchildren; sister, Janice Mitchell of Morristown, TN; sister-in-law, Phyllis Ladehoff of Washington, IA; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Margie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Internment will be in Elm Grove Cemetery, Washington, Iowa.
