Obituary – Marian Louise Piecek

April 17, 1928 – March 17, 2026

Marian Louise Piecek, age 97, Aitkin, Minnesota, passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Aicota Health Care Center, in Aitkin. She was born to the late Edward J. Gobel and Nanda C. (Hanson) Gobel on April 17, 1928.

Marian is survived by six of her children, Kathryn A. Piecek, Deborah S. (Piecek) Kelly, Frank J. Piecek Jr., Victoria N. (Piecek) Bill, Edward J. Piecek and Scott J. Piecek, 21 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her first husband Wilmer M. Miller, second husband Frank J. Piecek Sr., brother Earl A. Gobel, sister Mildred M. (Gobel) Stewart, daughter Dianne M. Miller, son Paul M. Piecek and granddaughter Danyel R. (Piecek) Rockwell. 

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11am - Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at Saint James Catholic Church in Aitkin.  Family will greet friends during a visitation for one hour prior to the mass at the church. Marian will be laid to rest with her late husband, Frank J. Piecek Sr., at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, adjacent to Camp Ripley, Little Falls, on April 9, 2026, during private time for the family.
