Marilyn J. Kullhem, age 79 of Palisade died Friday, May 24, 2013 at the Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Marilyn was born July 15, 1933 in Minneapolis the daughter of Richard and Florence (Peterson) Jones. She grew up and attended schools in Minneapolis. She then met Terry Kullhem n Palisade and they were married on September 18, 1965 in Palisade. They have made their home in Palisade since. Marilyn raised her family and had also worked as a waitress at the Palisade Café for a number of years. She has also worked as a foster grandmother at the palisade school for the past 14 years. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Palisade. She enjoyed making donuts for family and friends and also feeding the rabbits. She is survived by her husband Terry Kullhem of Palisade; Daughter and son in law: Lisa and Bud Vipperman of Ironton; Son and daughter in law: Mike and Mara Kullhem of Crosby; 3 Grandchildren: Karissa Sanvig, Karl Sanvig, Tanner Vipperman and great grandson: Landon Kremer. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Virginia and Mabel and one brother Richard. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 11 AM from the Bethel Lutheran Church in Palisade with Rev. William Sass officiating. Burial will be in the Pine Grove Cemetery near Palisade. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
