Marilyn Merle Lovsness, 84, of Aitkin, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2020 in River’s Edge Assisted Living, Aitkin. She was born March 20, 1935 in Montevideo to Earl and Martha (Langbecker) Cummings. Marilyn graduated from Montevideo High School and went on to attend the Minneapolis School of Business. Marilyn was united in marriage to Rollan Lovsness in June of 1966 in Brainerd. Marilyn was former manager of American Legion Post #86 of Aitkin and also worked at the 40 Club of Aitkin. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Marilyn enjoyed watching the Twins and Vikings, knitting, embroidery, reading and especially spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, Rollan Lovsness; her parents; son, Steven Lovsness.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Michael (Sally) DuHoux, Robert DuHoux, Rand Lovsness, Rick Lovsness, Leslie (Mark) Yunker and Michelle (Michael) Birchem; grandchildren, Kelly DuHoux, Michael (Jamie) DuHoux, Jr., Katie Yunker, Anna Yunker, Aaron DuHoux, Adam DuHoux, Taylor Birchem, Sarah Birchem, Craig Slavik, Kayla (Evan) Rohe, Brendan (Heather) Lovsness, Zachary Lovsness, Jordan Saragosa, Casey Lovsness and Molly Lovsness; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Earl Dean Cummings; other relatives and friends.
