Marilyn "Marty" Kathleen (Olsen) Thompson

Marilyn “Marty” Kathleen Thompson, 83, of Aitkin, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2024 in Aitkin Health Services, Aitkin.  She was born August 2, 1941 in Duluth to Merrill and Thelma (Webb) Olsen.  Marilyn was united in marriage to James Edward Thompson on June 27, 1964 in Duluth.    Marilyn was an Elementary Teacher as well as a Certified Pharmacy Technician.  She was a member of First Lutheran Church, Aitkin.  Marty enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, bird watching, needlework and researching family ancestry.

Marty is preceded in death by her husband, James; her parents; brother, Rodney Olsen.

Marty is survived by her son, Brian Thompson of Shakopee.
