Marlene Elizabeth Linn, 93 of Aitkin passed away Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Benedictine – Regina Senior Living in Hastings. She was born December 10, 1931 in Minneapolis the daughter of Edwin and Eva Mary (Proulx) Wahlund. She grew up in the Twin Cities area and graduated high school. Marlene was united in marriage to Alcuin A. Linn on September 1, 1956 in Minneapolis. They made their home in South Saint Paul and in the mid 1980’s they moved to Hanging Kettle Lake near Aitkin. She was an active member of the American legion Auxiliary where she and Alcuin would help prepare meals. She was a member of Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Aitkin. She was preceded in death by her husband Alcuin, brother Bob and her parents Edwin and Eva. Marlene is survived by sons: Tony (Karen) Linn of Cottage Grove, Larry Linn of Isle and Bob (Mary) Linn of Cottage Grove; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be 11:00am – Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Aitkin. Pastor David Becker will be the officiant. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery at Camp Ripley, Little Falls.
