Mary Lou Roman

Mary Lou Roman, 88 of Durango, Colorado, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024 at her residence near Aitkin, Minnesota.  She was born March 27, 1936 in Durango the daughter of Rufus and Sophia (Senna) Romero.  On June 8, 1959 in Durango, Mary Lou was united in marriage to Joseph Elliott Roman.  She worked as a bookkeeper for various construction companies.  Mary Lou left a legacy of love for her whole family, especially to her seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She was very proud of her family.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph in 2010, two sons, one brother and her parents.  Mary Lou is survived by 3 daughters, 2 sons, 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters, 1 brother and many other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Funeral service will be 11:00am – Friday, August 30, 2024 at Saint James Catholic Church in Aitkin.  Father Mike Patullo will be the officiant.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.  To leave a message of condolence please go to www.srtfuneral.com
