Michael "Mickey" James Sazenski

Michael James Sazenski “Mickey” 74, of McGregor and Nordeast, went to his Heavenly Father on May 19, 2023.  He was born December 23, 1948 in Minneapolis to Frank and Delores (Sullivan) Sazenski.  He graduated from North High School in 1967.  After graduating Mickey went on to do many things and had many interests in life.  He worked for Metalcraft Machine and Engineering for over 20 years.  Mickey was a successful past owner of Thumpers Bar in Coon Rapids and most recently owner of the Red Rock Bar & Grill in McGregor.  He had a quirky sense of humor and would debate you about almost any subject.  Mickey enjoyed music, dancing, playing softball, waterskiing, playing cards, watching movies and being out on the lake in his boat, but most of all Mickey loved his children and was so proud to be a father.  He always enjoyed spending time with his family and his customers. 

He was preceded in death by his parents: Frank and Delores Sazenski; Siblings: Dennis Sazenski, Judith Sazenski, Patrick Sazenski. 

Mickey is survived by his children: Alisha Sazenski, Rebecca Sazenski (Brian), Jake Sazenski (Sarah); Grandson William Current; Siblings: Frank Sazenski (Debi), Jackie Sullivan, Harold Sazenski; former wife Deanna Jensen, and many other special relatives and friends. 

Funeral service will be 10:30am – Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church 9100  93rd Avenue North – Brooklyn Park.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  A celebration of Mickey’s life will be at a later date at Red Rock Bar & Grill, McGregor.  Memorial are preferred in lieu of flowers.  McGregor Funeral Home & Cremation Services of McGregor assisted Mickey’s family with arrangements.  Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
