Nick Blazevic, Jr

Nick Blazevic, Jr, 99 of McGregor died November 13, 2023 at Care Free Assisted Living, McGregor.  He was born February 29, 1924 in Tipperary, Iowa to Nick and Kata (Pavlitch) Blazevic, Sr.  Nick was a U.S. Marine Corps. Veteran.  He served in WW II and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds sustained while in combat.  Nick was united in marriage to Joanne Lindquist on May 11, 1946 in Minneapolis.  He worked in Auto sales for many years.  He was preceded in death by his wife Joanne, daughter Sandra, grandson Wade, brothers, sisters, and his parents.

Nick is survived by his children: Michael Blazevic of Osseo, Mark (Trudy) Blazevic of McGregor, Cindy Blair of Joplin, MO. and Kathy Blazevic of Richmond, VA.; 2 sisters: Kay Ridnour and Betty Trickle; brother Alber Blazevic; sister-in-law: Nancy (Myron) Missling; many special grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends who mourn his passing.

A gathering to celebrate Nick, Joanne, and Mark's life will begin at 1pm - Saturday, May 11, 2024 at McGregor Funeral Home in McGregor.  Burial with military honors will be at 3pm at Woodland Cemetery, McGregor.  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home & Cremation Services in McGregor.  Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence
