Pamela Kay Rikala, 71, passed away Tuesday December 31st, 2024 at home with her family by her side. Pam was born November 5th, 1953 to Maurice and Dwanna Rehse in Cokato, MN. She graduated from Aitkin High School in 1972. She held jobs at Security State Bank, Mille Lacs Electric and Hugh Heineke before working at Aitkin Motors. Pam had a great sense of humor and a love for animals. She enjoyed watching the Vikings, traveling to the beach, spending summers at the Gun Lake Cabin – boating, fishing & spending time with her family. Pam especially loved watching her kids and grandkids play sports.
Pam is survived by her husband, Jerry, her children Jeremy (Kelli) Rikala, Jeff (Jen) Rikala and Jason (Heather) Rikala. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Allie and Brady, Kyler and Quinton, Rehse and Zane. Her sisters, Linda Rehse, Debbie (Dean) Johnson and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins. Pam was proceeded in death by her parents, Maurice and Dwanna Rehse, Step-Father, John Berry and brother Tim Rehse. Pam’s greatest contentment came from being a grandmother and having her family home for Christmas.
Funeral service will be 11:00am on Monday, January 6, 2025 at First Lutheran Church in Aitkin. Pastor and dear friend Susan Cline will be the officiant. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at a later date at Lakeview Cemetery.
