Patricia Ruth Boyd

Patricia Ruth Boyd , 88 of McGregor died Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Essentia St. Mary’s Hospital in Duluth.  She was born May 11, 1935 in Minneapolis to Willard and Lucille (Kenzie) Mohn.  She grew up in Saint Anthony and graduated from Edison High School in Minneapolis.  Patricia was united in marriage to Kenneth M. Boyd on October 13, 1956 in Minneapolis.  They lived in Aitkin then moved to McGregor in 1964.  Together they owned and operated several business’ including the McGregor Dairy Queen, Rasley Oil in Aitkin and McGregor Oil Company.  She was a member of the Eastern Star, McGregor Lions Club and Grace Lutheran Church of McGregor.  She enjoyed crocheting, rock picking, was a great cook and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth in 2018, nephew Kevin Mohn, sister and brother-in-law: Linda and Gary Profant, brothers-in-law: Richard Scovil and Don Bonneville, her parents Willard and Lucille Mohn. 

Patricia is survived by her children: Charles (Holly) Boyd of McGregor,

Tom (Teresa) Boyd of McGregor, Jeffrey (Amy) Boyd of McGregor,

Patrick Boyd (Teresa Zoromski) of Thorp, WI.;

Grandchildren: Chelsea (Alex), Megan (Tommy), Ashley (Steven), Tracy,

Katie (Cody), Kacie, Jordan (Thomas), Jacob, Isabella, Logan, Nicholas, Brooklyn, Rachael, and Justin;  Great-grandchildren: Mason, Connor, and Tuck;

Brother: Kenneth (Jackie) Mohn of Seattle, WA.;  Sister: Nancy Scovil of New Brighton;  sisters-in-law: Romaine Bonneville and Eva Clark both of Aitkin;

And many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

The Funeral Service & Eastern Star Service will begin at 2pm – Saturday January 13, 2024 at the McGregor School Auditorium.  Pastor Lorelie Robinson will officiate.  Visitation will begin at 12pm at the Auditorium.  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home & Cremation Services in McGregor.  Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
