Patricia Jean (Lenzen) Johnson

Patricia “Patty” Jean (Lenzen) Johnson, 62, of Aitkin, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in St. Cloud.  She was born on August 27th, 1961in a small shack north of Aitkin to Lloyd and Lois (Landrus) Lenzen. She was the 6th of 7 children, having 4 sisters and 2 brothers. Patty attended Aitkin High School through 11th grade when she moved to with the family for her mom's job at Land O' Lakes. She graduated from Foley High School in 1979 and promptly moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she worked as a server. After a couple of years, she moved back to Aitkin and began working at the Landing where she worked up until 2000. In 1982she met Cory Johnson and they quickly had a a daughter, Petra in October 27th, 1983. Cory also had a son from a previous marriage, Travis who she always treated as her own son. She briefly held jobs at Acrotech Midwest in Riverton, CRMC in Crosby, MN and CVS pharmacy in Aitkin, before "retiring" in approximately 2018. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of their yard, spending time with family and friends, sun bathing especially at the lake, playing softball in her younger years, hosting BBQs, roasting hot dogs and marshmallows over the camp fire, admiring her many gorgeous flowers, growing vegetables in that garden to can and make salsa, baking wonderful treats, playing darts with friends, searching for cool rocks, spoiling her cat Gypsy, and travelling when able. 

She is preceded in death by her husband, Cory Johnson; parents Lloyd and Lois Lenzen; brother Lloyd Michael Lenzen (Mike) and many other family members and friends. 

She is survived by her daughter, Petra; stepson, Travis; brother, Terry (Jane) Lenzen of Aitkin and sisters, Kris (Dave) Erven of Proctor, Myra (Jim) Middendorf of Sauk Centre, Karen (Scott) Bohler of Nisswa and Marilyn Lytle of Illinois; grandchildren Haleigh and Austin Balis (Petra's) of Crosby and Eli and Pierce Johnson (Travis) of Cameron, North Carolina; many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, as well as family friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, June 29th from 1P.M. - 5 P.M. at the Landing in Southgate Center, Aitkin.
