Patricia "Pat" Nesley, 95, passed away Sunday, December 17, 2023 at Northern Lakes Senior Living in Baxter, MN. She was born March 9, 1928 in Ridley Park, PA. to William C. and Marie E. (Haines) Morrison, Sr. She grew up in Ridley Park and graduated from Ridley Park High School in 1946. She attended nurses training school before deciding that teaching physical education was her calling. She graduated from West Chester State Teachers College in 1951, eventually earning a Master’s degree. She taught in Pennsylvania and Delaware and for a time worked at a Philadelphia TV station where she had her own physical fitness TV show. She moved to Washington DC and taught in the Montgomery County, MD, schools with most of her career at Belt Junior High School. She earned her pilots license and enjoyed flying small planes. She was an avid hiker, traveling the world with her friend and partner, Jack Mason. Pat was always active in sports, excelling in Field Hockey and Race Walking. She participated in the Senior Olympics, held in Japan and won several medals in Race Walking. She was inducted into the West Chester University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2003. She loved dogs, especially Labs, sharing her life with many rescues.
She was preceded in death by her parents William and Marie Morrison; brother and sister-in-law: William (Barbara) Morrison, Jr.; sister: Phyllis M. Drewyer; and her love: Jack Mason.
She was always the life of the party, having fun and making friends wherever she went. Pat lived life to the fullest, her spirit and sense of humor will be greatly missed by many dear friends, nieces and nephews.
