On Sunday, September 10, 2023 Richard Charles Horsman, 85 of Jacobson, passed peacefully into Glory, in the bedroom he shared with his beloved wife, Lynda, with their son and daughter holding his hands and singing over him, “Thou Art Worthy, Oh Lord”.
He was born September 8, 1938 in Chatfield to Ronald and Marjorie (Petersdorf) Horsman. He graduated high school and entered the U.S. Army in March of 1954 and was honorably discharged in November 1962. Richard was united in marriage to Lynda Leibold on June 6, 1964 in Winona. He was a self employed farmer and logger, owned and operated a sawmill, did road construction, was a machinist and Jack of all trades. Richard along with his wife and two children started “Families For Jesus” and continued that ministry from 1983-2019. He was a member of the Jacobson Community Church. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Richard will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lynda on December 26, 2020, two brothers Alan and Ronnie Horsman, and his parents Ronald and Marjorie.
Richard is survived by 2 children and son-in-law: Darcy and Chris Magnan and Thomas Horsman; Grandchildren: Kayla (Taylor) Amiot, Benjamin Magnan and Daniel Magnan;
Great-grandchild: Oliver Amiot; Siblings: Gary Horsman, Clair Horsman, Phyllis Hebig, John Horsman, their spouses, and many other special relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
