Richard (“Heavy” / “Big Guy”) Kappelhoff, Jr. 64 of Aitkin died Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his home. He was born June 26, 1956 in Saint Paul to Richard C. and Barbara J. (Wagner) Kappelhoff, Sr. He graduated from Monroe High School in Saint Paul in 1974. Richard was united in marriage Patricia Jean Morgan on February 28, 1981 in West Saint Paul. He worked as a Dock Master.

Richard is survived by his wife Patricia;

4 children and their spouses: Richard III (Annie), John (Becky), Sadie (Eric) Norton, and Dan;

6 grandchildren: Maggie, Ricky IV “Bubs”, Molly, Gunner, Kash, and Hunter;

2 sisters and brothers-in-law: Debbie (Guy) Peterson and Sandi (John) Haley;

Nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A Celebration and Hunting Party for Richard will be June 17, 2021 from 3:00pm - 6:00pm at the Lake Elmo Inn & Event Center (3712 Layton Avenue North – Lake Elmo, MN.
