Robert “Bob” Francis Broberg, 92, of McGregor, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 in Aicota Health Care Center, Aitkin. Bob was a gentle and loving man who was born May 13, 1931 in Milaca to Fritz and Rose (Hippe) Broberg. Bob was raised on the family farm in Milaca and graduated from Milaca High School in 1949. He then served in the Minnesota National Guard and The United States Air Force during The Korean War. Bob raised his family in Arden Hills and was a Bricklayer/Mason, working for several companies in the Twin Cities area. In 1999, Bob moved to McGregor where he lived in his cabin on Lake Minnewawa and enjoyed the fishing. Bob was a member of International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers. He was also a member of Grace Lutheran Church, McGregor.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darwin Broberg; sister, Gladys Stanley.
Bob is survived by his sweetheart of 20 years, Mary Ann Kult; children, Candice (Thomas) Wimmer, Jeffrey Broberg, Gregory Broberg and Nicholas Broberg; grandchildren, Krista Wimmer, Dylan (Megan) Broberg, David Broberg, Cheyanne (Steven) Broberg-Melchert; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services will be Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at 11 AM in Grace Lutheran Church, McGregor with Pastor Lorelie Robinson officiating. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
