Robert George Cherioli

Robert George Cherioli, 84 of Tamarack passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin.  He was born September 13, 1939 in Minneapolis to George Alexander and Esther Louise (Erickson) Cherioli.  He graduated from Edison High School in 1957.  He was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving from 1958  to 1960.  He attended Dunwoody Institute and studied to be an Electrician and graduated from the IBEW 292 Apprenticeship in 1966.  Robert was united in marriage to Diane Marie Fahrendorff on June 22, 1963 in Minneapolis.  The family lived in Minneapolis until 1979 when they moved to Tamarack. Robert was a 60 year member of IBEW 292, was a Master Electrician and retired in 1999 after 38 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents George and Esther Cherioli, sister Carol Cherioli, father-in-law and mother-in-law: Russell and Rodina Fahrendorff, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Audrey Bergman, George and Barbara Kruse, Joe Maznio, and Tina Fahrendorff.

Robert is survived by his wife: Diane Marie Cherioli;

3 sons and daughters-in-law: Jeffrey Cherioli of Fridley, James (Tami) Cherioli of Blaine and Thomas (Kari) Cherioli of Otsego;

Grandchildren: Cody, Raven, Tyler, Tanner, Cory and Amanda;

Great-grandchildren: Weston, Clayton, Presley, Miya, Ava and Nova;

Sister-in-law: Betty Maznio and Brother-in-law: Russ Fahrendorff;

Many special nieces nephews, other relatives and friends who mourn his passing.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm – Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Grace Lutheran Church, McGregor.  Pastor Lorelie Robinson will be the officiant.  Visitation will be 11am – 1pm, Saturday at the church.  Military honors will be accorded by McGregor VFW Post #2747 and American Legion Post # 23.  Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home & Cremation Services in McGregor.  Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
