Robert “Bob” Wold, 87, passed away peacefully at his home in Harlingen, Texas surrounded by his family on Saturday, December 27, 2025. Bob was born in Aitkin to Ernest and Margaret Wold. He graduated from Aitkin High School in 1956 and enlisted in the Navy at 18. He served on the USS Kretchmer 329 on the Dew Line during the Cold War.
He met the love of his life, Marjorie, while attending Northeastern University in Boston. Bob and Marge were married on June 23, 1962. Bob’s career began in computers with Honeywell and Jostens. He served as the President of Insty Prints and ended his long working career as a sales agent with Bankers Life and Casualty.
Bob is survived by his wife Marjorie and their children, Cheryl (Ed) Hoff, Carol (Mike) Denzer, Bob Wold Jr. (Sherri), grandchildren, Eric(Courtney) Denzer, Greg (Alexandra) Denzer, Nick Hoff and Joe Hoff, and his great grandchildren Leo and Isaac. Bob is also survived by his brother John (Mark & Hank) Wold, nieces Pamala (Charlie) Steinman, Diane Jorgensen, Debbie Wold, Cindy (Randy) Lindberg and nephew, Michael (Cheryl) Wold. He also leaves behind several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandson Jonathan Denzer, his brothers Ernest (Florence), Fred (Carol) and Stuart Wold, and nephews Patrick Wold, and Rick Jorgensen.
Bob enjoyed woodworking and golf but more than anything he enjoyed countless adventures with his family whom he loved deeply. Bob and Marge cherished their fishing and camping trips with their grandkids. It’s still not clear how many (if any) fish were caught but the memories are forever. Bob and Marge spent many months exploring the country and making lifelong friends in a variety of RVs before settling down in Harlingen to live out their retirement years in the Cottonwood Country Club community.
