Ruth Caroline (Widstrom) Johnson

Ruth Johnson, 96 of Brooklyn Center and Aitkin passed away, Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at The Harbors Senior Living in Fridley.  She was born March 9, 1927 in Thor, MN. to Emil and Helga (Peterson) Widstrom.  Ruth was united in marriage to  Donald Johnson on August 8, 1953 in Aitkin.  Ruth was a wonderful mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family very much.  She was Preceded in death by her parents, brother Wendell Widstrom, Brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Vernon and Wilma Johnson.  Ruth is Survived by husband Donald; son Lawrence “Larry” Johnson; daughter Denise (Allen) Hoidal; grandchildren: Veronica (Michael) Skomsoyvog, Alayna Hoidal and Ava Hoidal; great-grandchildren: Nolan, Beau, and Drew Skomsoyvog; sister-in-law: Lorraine “Dolly” Widstrom; and many other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Funeral Service is 11am - Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at Hope Lutheran Church 5200 Emerson Ave N Minneapolis MN 55430.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Fleming Cemetery.  Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Aitkin assisted Ruth’s family.  To leave a message of condolence go to www.srtfuneral.com
