Shannon Marie Cook

Shannon Marie Cook passed away Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at her home in Hill City at the age of 51.  She was born March 19, 1973 in Austin, the daughter of Kenneth and Shirley (Pritzkau) Cook.  She grew up in Austin and graduated High School in Waterville. She attended Mankato State University and earned a B.A. Degree.  She moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. where she worked at a bank for many years.  She later moved to Hill City and worked in Grand Rapids.  She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, uncle and aunts.  Shannon is survived by half sister Erin (Cook) Mecklinberg Half brother John White, many aunts, cousins, other special family and friends who mourn her passing.

 A memorial service will be 11am Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the Assembly of God Church in Hill City.  Pastor Lisa Jordan will be the officiant.  Visitation will begin at 10:30am at the church.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Aitkin.  To leave a message of condolence go to www.srtfuneral.com
