Sharon Kay Lindberg

Sharon Kay Lindberg, 63 of Aitkin passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025 at her residence.  She was born August 13, 1961 in Omaha, Nebraska, the daughter of Earl and Betty (Chin) Fairchild.  She grew up in Aitkin and graduated from Aitkin High School in 1979, she then earned her Associates Degree.  Sharon was united in marriage to Kevin Wayne Lindberg on January 22, 1983 at the United Methodist Church in Aitkin.  She was employed at Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin for 20 years.  She loved summertime and gardening.  Her family and grandchildren were her life. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Betty Fairchild and son-in-law Adam Ritter.  Sharon is survived by her husband Kevin; Son and daughter-in-law: Jonathon (Veronika) Lindberg of Otsego; Daughter Sara Ritter of Aitkin; Grandchildren: Lorraine Cardelli, Aubrey Ritter, Kristian Lindberg, Ella Lindberg, Mia Lindberg; Siblings: Dona (Tony) Pohl, Terry Fairchild, Debbie (David) Lehse and Cindy (Dan) Erickson; and many other special relatives and friends who mourn her passing.

Memorials are preffered to a cancer foundation of your choice or to Sharon's favorite places to donate: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Funeral Service will be 11am – Friday, February 14, 2025 at Northwoods Community Church  - 810 2nd Street NW in Aitkin.  Pastor Larry Burg will be the officiant.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will be in Spencer Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Aitkin.  To leave a message of condolence please go to www.srtfuneral.com
