Sharon Lee Tibbetts, 74 of Aitkin died Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Rivers Edge Assisted Living in Aitkin. She was born May 24, 1945 in Saint Paul to Charles and Harlene Allen. As a child she had to stop attending school to help her parents in their restaurant business. Sharon was united in marriage to Gerald Lawrence Tibbetts on June 7, 1974 in Aitkin. She worked as a line supervisor for Land O’ Lakes and the for Roms Poultry Farm, and as a cook at the Casino. She loved taking care of and feeding wild birds, she loved all animals especially her cats and dogs. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading science fiction and fantasy books, and cooking. She was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan and became a Twins fan as they won the World Series. She would cheer for all Minnesota sports teams to win.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Kenneth.
Sharon is survived by her husband Gerald Tibbetts,

Step-children: Kelly Denny, Terry (Tony) Smoley,
Vicky (Mike) Assell, Kathy (Steve) Badger,
10 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren,
Brothers and sisters: Rick (Kathy) Allen, Don (Mary) Allen, Diane Olson,
And many other special relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00A.M. – Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Saint John’s Lutheran Church in Aitkin. Reverend David Becker will officiate. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Private burial will be at a later date.
