Stewart Lee Packer, Sr.

Stewart Lee Packer, Sr. 91, of Palisade died Saturday, January 25, 2025 at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby.  He was born January 23, 1934 in Waukenabo Township to Levi and Hazel (Cowling) Packer.  Stewart is a veteran of The United States Army who served during the Korean War.  Stewart was united in marriage to Alice Crapser.  Together they had 5 children.  Stewart enjoyed woodworking, building furniture, hunting, fishing, snowmobiling.  Stewart’s philosophy was to help at least 1 person every day.  He loved spending time with his family.  Stewart will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Stewart is preceded in death by his parents; grandchild, Stephanie; great grandchild, Soren; brothers, Duane and Arvin.

Stewart is survived by his loving wife, Alice Packer; children, Linda (Ron) Sewald, Chuck Packer, Cyndi (Sean) Johnson, Kathi Landrus and Stewart (Stacey) Packer, Jr.; grandchildren, Cassie, Brandy, Sara, Ronda, Becky, Jon, T.J., Caitlin, Fawn, Charlie, Samantha, Erica, Bryan and Nathan; 21 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; siblings, Ronnie (Sharon) and Jeannie; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Services will be Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 1 PM in Hilltop Chapel, 49448 Osprey Ave, Palisade, MN 56469.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Military honors will be provided by Palisade V.F.W. Post #1721.  Interment will be in Waukenabo Cemetery, Waukenabo Township.  Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer’s Association, alz.org.  To leave a message of condolence, please visit:  www.srtfuneral.com.
