Teresa (Forbes) Bickford - Beardsley

Teresa Florence (Forbes) Bickford – Beardsley, 91 of Aitkin, devoted wife & mother passed away peacefully April 3, 2026 at Riverwood Health Care Center in Aitkin surrounded by her family.  “Teri” was born February 8, 1935 at home in Valley Center (Escondido) California the youngest of 8 children of Charles Alexander and Teresa Florence (Estrella) Forbes.  She graduated from Leuzinger High School in Lawndale, CA. in 1952.  Teri was united in marriage to Robert K. Bickford on June 12, 1954 in Hawthorne, CA.  They were married for over 52 years.  They enjoyed many family vacation fishing trips and several road trips with the children to visit relatives.  Teri kept in touch with her siblings and family, all over the USA. In 1964 Bob and Teri and the children: Pamela, Kenneth, Roberta and Gregory moved from Torrance, CA. to Northeast Minneapolis. Teri worked at Ball Electronics in Lexington, MN. for 15 years.  In 1990 they moved from Columbia Heights to Mille Lacs Lake to retire and spend quality time with their children and grandchildren.  Teri enjoyed entertaining and cooking for her family and playing Bridge with her dear friends.  Her “favorite” leisure time was spent playing golf.  She has sewn over 30 golf outfits, with a golf print theme, coordinating matching tops, hats and purses.  Teri played golf until she was 87.  Robert was a devoted husband and father, he preceded Teri in death.  On October 7, 2006 Teri was united in marriage to Charles Beardsley.  “Chuck” was a devoted husband and father, they were married for 18 years.  Chuck preceded Teri in death.  Teri often shared with her family and friends, “I was blessed with two good husbands.”  She was a devoted Catholic and her faith was very important to her.  She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Teresa Forbes, husband Robert K. Bickford, son Gregory A. Bickford, husband Charles D. Beardsley as well as other relatives and friends.  Teri is survived by daughters: Pamela Bickford Kuehn (Randy), Roberta Bickford Gronquist (Karl); grandchildren: Matthew Lindberg, Rossilynd Finneman (Joseph), Rachel Bickford, Miles Bickford;  Great grandchildren: Mikyla and Brayden Salisbury, Colin and Aaron Bernin, Blaise and Nova Bickford; Step-daughters: Teri Beardsley Hall (Bradley), Sue Kaufmann (Brian); Step-grandchildren: Ryan Beardsley (Danielle); step-great-grandchildren: Kayden, Kyler and Kruz Beardsley.

Funeral Mass will be 11am – Saturday, April 11, 2026 at Saint James Catholic Church in Aitkin.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Lunch will follow the service.  Burial will be in Bennettville Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home in Aitkin.  www.srtfuneral.com
