Terrance "Terry" Joseph DeSutter

Terrance “Terry” Joseph DeSutter, 66, of Merrifield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 23, 2023.  He was born March 30, 1957 in Londonderry, Northern Ireland to Patrick and Janell (Kestaloot) DeSutter.  Terry graduated from Aitkin High School.  He went on to attend St. John’s University and was a member of St. John’s Men’s Choir.  Terry was united in marriage to Richard “Rick” Stoltman on August 24, 2013 in Breezy Point.  Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling, cooking and entertaining.  Terry also enjoyed time with his dogs.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Andrew; brother, Thomas; sister, Denise Kutzke.

Terry is survived by his loving husband, Rick Stoltman; children, Mallory Branch, Jeffrey DeSutter and Katherine Gorton; grandchildren; step-mother, Mickie DeSutter; siblings, Tim (Amy) DeSutter and family and David (Gretchen) DeSutter and family; step-sisters, Connie Janzen, Deanna Janzen Heath and Jessica Janzen and families; step-brother, Jeremy Janzen and family; other special relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held 11am - Friday, September 1, 2023 at St. James Catholic Church, Aitkin with Father Mike Patullo officiating.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church.  Interment will be at a later date in St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery, Aitkin.  To sign the guestbook online, go to:  www.srtfuneral.com.  Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Aitkin.
