Thomas Richard Browne

Thomas Richard Browne, 72 of Orono & Aitkin passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at his lake home in Aitkin.  He was born April 3, 1952 in Wadena, MN the son of William J. and Vera Ann (Kopp) Browne.  He graduated from Winona-Cotter High School and then from Saint Mary’s College in Winona.  Thomas was united in marriage to Sheila Rae (Magnuson) on October 2, 1982 in Plymouth, MN. Thomas and Sheila went on to raise their five children in their home in Orono, MN. 

Thomas enjoyed spending every summer at their lake home in Aitkin, MN (Shingwauk Village) where his time was spent boating and soaking up the sun by the pool. He loved his faithful dog, Kobe, who never left his side. When he wasn’t at the cabin he was spending his days golfing with his brother, Peter, or with his many friends. 

Thomas was preceded in death by his beautiful daughters Alexandra and Angela and brother Timothy. 

Thomas is survived by his wife Sheila, his children: Wyatt (Deanna), Michael (Megan), Bryan (Carolina), and Carissa; grandchildren: Ian, Nate, and Alice; brothers: William, Robert (Carol), Peter; sisters: Patricia (Mike) and Margaret. As well as many nieces, nephews and lifelong friends who he loved dearly.
