Thomas W. Wiggins, 73 of McGregor passed away peacefully on June 17, 2025 at his home with his partner, Janet Irwin by his side. He was born April 5, 1952 in Minneapolis the son of the late William and Frances (Baril) Wiggins. Throughout his life, he lived in Minnesota, Florida, and Arizona, building a life filled with diverse experiences and connections. He was a hardworking man who held many roles over the years, including farming, Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Emergency Medical Tech (EMT) and even a Sandwich Artist. Tom had a strong work ethic, a generous heart, and a quiet sense of humor. He had a passion for the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing. He enjoyed making homemade jelly and candles, and he found joy in Music – especially blues and classic rock. His creativity, independence, and love for simple pleasures touched everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his wife Rosalie (Schroeder) Wiggins, sister Joanne Goglin, and his parents.
Tom is survived by his sons: Will (Amanda) Wiggins of Baraga, MI. and Bryan (Shannon) Wiggins of Tucson, AZ.; His beloved grandchildren: Ben and TJ of Tucson, AZ.; Step-grandson: Cole Kemppainen of Negaunee, MI.; Brother: David Frances Wiggins; Nephew Dustin (Leah) Johnston and their children: August, Elise and Aaron (Willow) Wiggins and their son Wilson; Niece Danita (Chris) Glenn and their children Brayden and Asher. He is lovingly remembered by his partner Janet Irwin.
The family would like to thank St. Croix Hospice, especially Angela and Sarah, and to Oliver the music therapist who brought light and comfort to Tom’s final days. Special gratitude also goes to Joe Tobar for his care and support.
