William E. Onstad, 102, of Tamarack, passed away Friday, March 3, 2023 in Villa Vista-Cardinal Court, Cromwell. He was born March 27, 1920 in Aberdeen, Washington to Martin and Inga (Rude) Onstad. William was united in marriage to Doris Anderson on June 11, 1949 in McGregor.
William is preceded in death by his wife, Doris; his parents; siblings, Charles, Elizabeth, Mary Jane, Phyllis and Thelma; daughter-in-law, Laurie Tarnowski; son-in-law, Todd Owens.
William is survived by his children, Althea (Craig) Thimmesch, Valerie Onstad, Kenneth Onstad, Lucille Onstad, Janet (Herman Eason) Owens, James (Tammy) Onstad; grandchildren, Brian Thimmesch, Nathan Thimmesch, Jesse (Sarah) Ronich, Steve (Kayla) Ronich and Jenna Ronich; great grandchildren, Paige Thimmesch, Vera Thimmesch, Payton Ronich, Sawyer Ronich, Elija Ronich, Aana Ronich and Lilly Ronich.
A Celebration of William’s Life will be held Saturday, March 25 from 1 P.M. to 4 P.M. at Tamarack Sno-Flyers, 195 N. Main St, Tamarack, MN 55787.
