William "Bill" Edwin Nelson

William “Bill” Edwin Nelson, 74, of Aitkin, passed away Wednesday, August 14, 2024 in Riverwood Health Care Center, Aitkin.  He was born July 5, 1950 in Aitkin to Emil and Wanda (Beecher) Nelson.  Bill spent many years working in remote locations in Alaska as a Supervisor building bridges and piers.  He was an avid aviation enthusiast and built his own airplane.  Bill also enjoyed hiking, camping and bicycling.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Warren Nelson and sister, Laurel Miller.

Bill is survived by two brothers, Mike (Laurene) Berg and James (Kelly) Nelson; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
