Obituary
Yvonne Rea Mead – Schwartz, 72 of McGregor passed away Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at her home. She was born November 21, 1949 in Wabasha to Eddie F. and Alice L. (Hearle) Wesley. She graduated from Chisago Lakes High School in 1967 and then attended St. Cloud State University. Yvonne was united in marriage to Edward M. Schwartz on August 6, 1980 in Fort Collins, Colorado. She owned and operated a computer store for a time. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and board games, and she loved spending time with her family. She was very spiritual and her faith was very important to her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother John “Jack” Thurner.
Yvonne is survived by her husband Ed;
Children: Nicole Brown and Chad Schwartz;
Grandchildren: Wesley Schwartz and Payton Heinz;
Sisters: Sharon Thurner and Cathy Jo Ortega;
And many other special relatives and friends.
A celebration of Yvonne’s life will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, McGregor. Arrangements are with McGregor Funeral Home & Cremation Services in McGregor. Go to www.srtfuneral.com to leave a message of condolence.
